Criteria for admission
- Pupils must have a draft or final statement of special educational needs.
- Pupils will be diagnosed with or undergoing a diagnosis for high functioning autism or Asperger’s Syndrome. However due to the variation in diagnostic terminology pupils may be diagnosed with an autistic spectrum disorder, autistic spectrum condition, autism, pervasive development disorder or as having autistic traits.
Procedure for admission
- Applications for a place at Gretton School can be made by completing our downloadable form or by telephoning the school on 01223 277438.
- Parents or a representative from the local authority will be invited to meet with the Principal and view the facilities available at Gretton School.
- Gretton School will arrange for a day or residential assessment to be undertaken and produce an assessment report detailing the placement offer and fees if appropriate.
- Once a placement agreement has been made Gretton School will develop and implement a comprehensive transition plan.
