Extended Services
Gretton provides a range of extra curricular activities, clubs
and independent living training for its older pupils. In addition
and to support working parents, the school offers a breakfast
club and after school provision to extend the school day.
Gretton offers a range of services which will have a positive
impact on the quality of education and care provided for the
pupils at Gretton as well as children from the local community:
- Assessment and training – day assessment programmes (and
in future, residential) for children and young people with
ASD and a wide range of specialist, accredited training
courses.
- Respite and wrap-around care – Gretton offers parents
respite with a short breaks service and in addition, will offer
the options of holiday courses, intensive, targeted learning
programmes and joint family training and support
programmes. A wrap-around child care service with a range
of activities is also offered for children with SEN in the local
community, to enable families and children with special
needs to have the same opportunities and choices as other
families to participate in a range of activities.
- Research programme – Piscari will support and fund an
ongoing research programme based on the Piscari concept
of ‘moment in time’ research. A range of short-term research
projects will be funded in partnership with parents,
intended to provide short-term practical outcomes for
pupils, families and staff in the working settings.
