Gretton Awards

Updated: Aug 3, 2020

On Monday 20th July staff came to school for a staff training day before the start of the summer break.

The day kicked off in style as staff were treated to a full english breakfast prepared by our very own Mr Lee, our fab chef Henry and the catering team! To compliment the hot food on offer, we also indulged in croissants, pastries and fresh fruits!

With full tummies and happy hearts, staff went on to enjoy a training session delivered by 'Trauma Informed Schools', led by Chris Davies, on the subject of trauma in childhood. Unlike usual training days, staff were scattered around the school and logged on remotely to participate in the training to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Following this session, staff came together on the school field (still observing social distancing) and remotely through the miraculous Google Meet for a final briefing from Ms Elkins.

Mr Lee and Mr Samworth then took centre stage to announce the much anticipated winners of this years Gretton Awards!

We had some fun awards and some more genuine awards, it was nice for everyone to get together to conclude what has been a challenging term, staff who are shielding were able to join remotely.

Staff voted in their thousands.. well.. hundreds.. the totals were totted up and below are our winners!

Congratulations to all our worthy winners, we wish all staff, students and parent/carers a restful summer break and very much look forward to opening our doors to all in September.
