At Gretton, we understand that school years can be challenging for young people and their families. Every child’s journey is different, and for some, boarding can be a positive option - offering a supportive community, opportunities to develop independence, and a safe, nurturing environment where they can grow, learn, and thrive.

We see the boarding provision here at Gretton as an extension of the curriculum offered. We deliver a Child Centred approach with a family focus to a diverse group of individuals. Great detail is taken around planning routines and offering continuity and familiarity, to support the learners to grow. We believe this is paramount to enable the learner to achieve as much as they would like to, in preparation for life after teenage years. Whether this is a life in academia or through a vocational career, Gretton boarding encourages the learners to engage in everyday tasks such as cooking, personal care and self help living skills to develop their social, emotional, and physical wellbeing to grow and develop the potential which is in each and everyone of us.​​​​​​

For the last four years, OFSTED has found that Gretton Boarding has offered an “Outstanding” provision. We take pride in our achievements, but more so in the achievements of our learners. Working alongside parents, extended families and professionals we aim to ensure the learners' individual needs are met so that they are able to achieve the highest possible outcomes they can in an environment they find comfortable, to enable them to find the individual they need to be.
We understand that choosing boarding for your young person is a big decision. We’re here to support you every step of the way, helping you feel confident that Gretton could be the right place for them to grow, learn, and thrive.
