You may have noticed a few changes around Gretton recently. From our website and letters to our uniforms and school communications, you'll start to see the Cavendish Education four Cs badge re-appearing.
For some years, Gretton has been using the Newcome branding and logo, making us a really important component of the Newcome school group. But it turns out... Cavendish missed us and we started to feel too separate from all the positive growth and development happening at group level. As such, we are making a return! Back to the purple; back to Cavendish and, importantly, back to the aspirational four 'C's badge that underpins our values.
What do the Four Cs mean for our learners?
As part of the Cavendish Education family of specialist schools, the badge represents four qualities that sit at the very heart of what we do - we believe can make a real difference in the lives of children and young people: Confidence, Competence, Creativity and Character.

These values are not new to Gretton. In many ways, the four Cs give us a way of putting words to things we already see every day. The confidence to try something new. The competence that grows as a learner develops their skills and independence. The creativity to find a different way forward when one approach doesn't work. And the character shown in those moments of resilience and kindness.
Every learner's journey will look different, and these qualities won't always appear in the same way. Sometimes progress is easy to see. Sometimes it happens quietly, in moments that might go unnoticed by everyone else.
To celebrate our return to the wider Cavendish group, we'll be taking a closer look at each of the four Cs over the coming weeks and exploring what they can look like in everyday life at Gretton.

We'll be sharing more about the small steps that can build confidence, the skills that help young people prepare for the future, the interests and ideas that spark creativity, and the relationships and experiences that help us grow.
We hope you'll join us as we explore Confidence, Competence, Creativity and Character in a little more detail and celebrate the return of the Cavendish logo and branding.
