Children's Mental Health Week 1st - 7th February

Children's Mental Health Week is focusing on the importance of looking after our emotional wellbeing from an early age. This year's theme is 'Express Yourself'.

No child or young person should have to face mental health problems on their own and we should encourage awareness, now more than ever with the current climate.

Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts or ideas through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film or doing any activities that make you feel good.

For Children's Mental Health Week 2021, Gretton School will be encouraging students and staff to explore the different ways we can 'Express Ourselves' and the creative ways that we can share our feelings, thoughts and our ideas.

We would love everyone to get involved and 'Dress to Express' by wearing colours, anything really that just expresses YOU! Share photos with your class staff so we can all see how amazing you look and how creative you can be with your dressing up!

This week, teachers will be holding lessons to raise awarensss, linked resources and activities will be planned and shared with students so that we can all have the opportunity to 'Dress to Impress'!

We look forward to seeing how creative you all are!
