International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Today (like every day!) we celebrate the achievements of our students in Science. It is a joy to see the progress that is made by our female students as they follow in the footsteps of the iconic women in science that we see in the headlines today. At Gretton School we encourage all of our students to grow in their confidence and understanding of the world around them, enabling them to achieve their best.

In today's practical science lesson, Einstein Class measured the energy in food. Pupils worked together to weigh a biscuit, then safely light it on fire using a Bunsen burner. The biscuit was used to heat up a known volume of water to calculate the energy.
