On Wednesday 6th July, students and staff took to the school field for the annual sporting event of the year.
This year also saw us partaking in scones, jam and cream, strawberries and cream, pizza and music for a belated celebration of the Platinum Jubilee alongside our Sports Day.
As parent/carers filled the field to watch the students, staff were on hand to keep score and tally up the winners of each event.
We had a running race, a goal scoring competition, egg and spoon race, archery, sack racing, hurdles, javelin throwing, highjump and even a space hopper challenge.
Students worked hard beforehand decorating specially made t-shirts and practicing hard during their pe lessons in the run up to the day.
A huge thank you to all our Gretton families who came along and supported on the day. A thank you must also go to the staff at Gretton for pulling together as a team and putting on such a wonderful day for everyone involved.
